1. For emergency steering operation a bridle is required to transfer the line of pull of the warp from side to side
using stern cleats or winches (see Emergency Steering Diagram).
2. When using as an anti-roll device on anchor, a 2-3 kilo weight must be attached to the bottom of the drogue.
Divers weights of that weight are ideal. IT IS ESSENTIAL not to attach too heavy a weight as this will stretch the unit
and make it inoperable. Attach only enough weight to make the Seabrake sink.
1. Lay the Seabrake flat on the deck so that the Seabrake logo is facing up and to one side.
2. Step into the gap between the two cones, ensuring that you are facing the base end of the unit. Make
sure the webbing straps are between your legs.
3. Pull the whole Seabrake up (as if you are putting on a pair of trousers).
4. Reach behind and pull the webbing straps with the metal thimble (that attaches to the tow rope at the top
end of the unit) over your head and shoulders so that two webbing straps rest under each arm.
5. Run the thimble and straps through the base tabs at the front and secure with a non-slip knot. Please note
that if the knot is not tied off securely the harness will tighten as the weight comes on squeezing the person
being lifted. WARNING: Lifting without using a non-slip knot may cause injury.
6. Sit back, letting the top cone fabric take your weight as you are lifted aloft or aboard.
Note: GP24L and GP3OL only. (harness use)
